Wang Fujing is the name of the street that you have to visit if you’re in Beijing. Located just about 1 km eastern Forbidden City, near the Beijing Hotel. Remember Beijing Hotel…? The one that our friend Wang said: "This is the place where Real Madrid players stayed during their visit in 2005".

If you want to search original Chinese things, this is the right place. This is the place just similar to Pasaraya or Plaza Senayan Jakarta. Eventhough Wang Fujing has a western landscape, this place indeed is a luxurious city symbol. You cannot say that you’re already stay in Beijing if you never visit this famous street.


There are three most significant buildings: Beijing Hotel, Oriental Plaza & Grand Hyatt Hotel…you also have to visit other buildings but IMO there are similar to Oriental Plaza. Maybe just walk along the street and then sit, relax and have some coffee or juice with your friends. Don’t forget to take pictures.

There are also two big bookstores: one is Wang Fujing Bookstore at the south part and the other one is…I don’t know, I forget the name…at the north part.

 

 

Don’t to but an expensive things…? You can go to the left side of the street, just across Mc’D. You can find people sell souvenirs with lesser prices and also places for meal. Sometimes there are artis with Chinese make up singing at the stage.
