A little bit dizzy this morning, woke up at 7.10 a.m, missed the breakfast and last night’s American Idol show. Just to watch my idol Mr. Yamin on his last performance in AI 5 was so hard to be done. What a great loss for me.

Edwin keep urging us to write something for our blog….and there is something to tell but I’m really not in the mood. If my story this time was not enjoyable to read and the english grammar were messed up, please forgive me….hehehe. At least I’ve tried my best to write about our trip to Beijing last weekend.

Finally we figured out which the best way to get to Beijing by bus, after a week asking people here and there on how to get to Beijing by bus. There are 3 route of bus trip from Yanjiao to Beijing actually but we didn’t know which one is the best route we should take. The best route here meant the shortest, the most convenient, with the station close to our hotel and a very slim chance to get lost. We left Yanjiao at 2.00 pm after attending the lunch invitation from the husband and the son of my supervisor back in Jakarta office. The lunch was great. The restaurant served fish submerged in vegetable oil and mixed up with a lot of spices. The taste was very strong and it would last on your tongue for a quite long. The best chinese dish by far, my favourite.

We took a bus no. 930 from Yanjiao to Beijing. We already made an appointment with my friend ms. Linda, she used to work in my office for several months and currently she was assigned to work with MKG for a month in Beijing. So, we’re going to stay overnight at her hotel, the fancy one, Hilton Beijing. Luckily, it was double bed, so we can share the beds with the boys:)p- We get off the bus at Ba Wong Fen station and took a taxy to hilton. It only cost 16 Yuan. By the time we arrived at the hotel, Beijing was having a regional power blackout so the lift didn’t work but they provided us a cargo lift to get us to the 10th floor where Linda stayed. In addition, Hilton was renovating the lobby so we didn’t quite got the image of a five star hotel from the outside.

Living almost a month in countryside Yanjiao really made us like suburb people who never been in a big town before. We were yanjiaoners in beijing. Beijing was so different compared to Yanjiao. Beijing is a really really big town with lots of high buildings, 6 lanes streets and flyovers crossed-overlayed each other. A well planned city. We spent saturday evening by hanging out at Starbucks in Renaissance hotel. It’s in Choyang district. Starbucks almost same everywhere, the menu, the seats, the lay out, a waiter who can speak english was really helpful but we’re not allowed to take picture. Had a little chit chat awhile then we walked to KFC to have a dinner there. I don’t want to talk about KFC Beijing, this is Fitrix’s part:)p-

Almost 10.00 but my friend Linda said that the night was so young and she really wanted to spend the night at Hard Rock. Ouww my gosh….Linda….opposite to Linda, I just want to go back to the hotel and watch the AI finale, I thought Hard Rock can be done some other time. But what power do I have to drag this naughty little woman….huahahaha…..just kidding!! back to our hotel. Heplessly we followed her to Hard Rock and hoping that Xing Kong Channel will re-run the show the day after as Edwin said. We spent quite a good time in Hard Rock.

I gotta admit that i didn’t regret going to HRC with Linda. It was absolutely fun. I love music very much and would love any kind of music delivery especially live music but I’ve never been in a concert. I have quite a lot dvd’s with live/stage performance of my fav artists and always hope someday I will go to live music concert. That’s one reason to legalize me being in this kind of places:)p-

Kinda funny to me that in the front porch of HRC Beijing there’s writing hanging says " No drugs and nuclear weapon are allowed". I thought who the hell is gonna bring nuclear weapon in to this place….nuclear…..i mean….it’s just ridiculuous….why not bomb instead of nuclear. Dunno.

There are a lot of reasons for people to go to amusing place like Hard Rock, for me I mean us…. It’s definetely due to its music not other than that. Though I do saw people who looked for other things for example: to ‘buy’ or ’sell’ amusement like sex. Looking at other people doing mouth to mouth kisses, rubbing, touching and evrything related to human body contacts in public places kinda embarrasing me actually. However, I can’t blame them. It’s a normal view in this kind of places. Linda was dying to step her feet on the dance floor and asked me to accompany……gently i refused her, not this time, maybe next time i said to her. Then ,she almost begged fitrix to dance with her but fitrix said he can’t dance. So, we were just standing outside "the circle" and moving our body a little following the music rythm.

The band was very good (in their class). The band name is nightshift, they came from Philipines and consists of two lead singer (man and woman), a guitarist, a drummer, a bassis and a keyboardist. They sang songs from Queen, Pink Floyd, Guns and Roses, Nirvana and so many others. Their rendition of the songs was good and brilliant. They hit on a hard song like Bohemian Rhapsody and got applauded by the audience. It was a fun and entertaining nite, but in a short time I remembered that all Indonesian people were mourning for Jogja, a guilty feeling came. After the band finished their third and last session, we caught a taxi and headed home.
